We Offer Teeth Whitening for Seniors Wanting a Youthful Appearance

If you are approaching retirement, or long past it, teeth whitening can help your smile to appear bright and youthful again.  We treat patients of all ages and have found that many seniors make the mistake of thinking that their teeth are yellow or stained and have to stay that way.

It is entirely common for teeth to stain with age.  Just because it's normal, however, doesn't mean that you can't improve their appearance and look more youthful again.  Teeth whitening is such an effective procedure that it can take years off of your appearance without requiring you to undergo plastic surgery or have any significant work done.  This is entirely non-invasive, so there is little to no risk and no recovery time.  In this way, a teeth whitening is perfect for adults of all ages that want to improve their smile.

How teeth whitening can help you.

After spending years drinking coffee, smoking occasionally, eating soy sauce, drinking wine or having pasta, your teeth are probably discolored and stained.  This typically begins at a very early age with people in their twenties experiencing staining. The more products you use that stain your teeth, the faster they will turn yellow.  As you continue to age, the situation gets worse simply because you have had that much longer to consume foods that stain.  We understand that no matter how fastidious you have been about your oral health – stains will happen.  For that reason, we also know that teeth whitening is an excellent solution for seniors.  This can erase years of wear on your teeth and help them to appear youthful and vibrant again.

How the process of teeth whitening works.

It is important to know that when you visit our dental office you will get results.  Many people cruise through the toothpaste aisle at the drug store and pick up a whitening kit to try at home, only to be disappointed by the results.  This is normal and if it has happened to you, don't worry, our solution is far superior.  What they sell in the store is designed to remove the surface stains on your teeth and typically it does a decent job of it.  The problem is that much of the staining takes place at a deeper level, below the surface of the enamel.  In order to truly whiten your teeth, you must use a professional-grade solution that can penetrate the enamel to target these deep stains.  Our solution does this through the process of oxidization.  When the solution is placed onto your teeth, it targets the molecules and begins to change them so that they become colorless, reflecting less light.  This create the bright white smile that you have been looking for and does so rather quickly. Our solution is strong enough to produce the results that you need but since it is done under our supervision, you don't have to worry about sensitivity or any complications.

If you are tired of having a yellow smile – whiten it with a trip to our dental office.
